Titanite Chancery

Titanite Chancery is TITANNET's secondary bot, sister to Titanite Utilities. Utilities serves the whole Titanite community. Chancery runs TITANNET itself: events, tickets, applications, diplomacy, and everything else a server under the network needs, from inside Discord. It used to be called THU Bot.

info

This is a private system. Chancery isn't a public bot you add from a listing site. It runs in servers inside Titanite's sphere: Titanite-owned servers, servers run by people well acquainted with the group, or servers invited into the TITANNET universe. If you're reading this, someone already brought you in.

It's in several servers at once, and each server has a different set of things switched on. So this page lists everything it can do; your server probably has some of it, not all of it.

Every one of those can be on or off per server. See Modules.

How to find out what your server hasโ€‹

/moduleadmin list

That's owner-only. If you're not the owner, the quick version is: type / and look at the menu. Commands that aren't there aren't switched on.

The shape of itโ€‹

Almost everything follows the same pattern:

  1. An admin sets it up once with /config set โ€” which channel, which role.
  2. People use it with a normal command.
  3. The bot records it so it can be looked at later.

If step 1 hasn't happened, step 2 gives you a message saying exactly which setting is missing. That's not an error โ€” it's the bot telling you what to do next.

It's not workingโ€‹

When you are stuck

"This feature is not enabled in this server."

The module is off. Ask the bot owner to switch it on โ€” see Modules.

"Module not fully configured. Admin must run `/config set` for ..."

The bot is switched on but doesn't know which channel or role to use. The message names exactly what's missing. A server admin runs /config set with that name.

The command doesn't appear when I type `/`

Either the module is off, or Discord hasn't refreshed. Fully close Discord and reopen it โ€” not just the window, actually quit it.

The bot doesn't respond at all

Check it's online in the member list. If it's offline, that's a bot problem, not yours โ€” tell Ben.

It worked yesterday and doesn't today

Nine times out of ten, a channel got deleted or renamed, or a role changed. Whatever the bot was pointed at with /config set is gone. Point it at the new one.
